The Beauty of Chinese Dance: OCA Youth Performance Ensemble Showcase 2013

OCA PITTSBURGH PRESENTS THE BEAUTY OF CHINESE DANCE

TRADITIONAL CHINESE DANCES PERFORMED BY THE OCA YOUTH PERFORMANCE ENSEMBLE

PITTSBURGH, PA, March 26, 2013 - The third OCA Youth Performance Ensemble Showcase will take place Saturday, May 4th, 7:00 PM, at Carson Middle School in Northern Pittsburgh. Many spectacular genres of Chinese dances and the Chinese Yo Yo performed by the students of Tzu Chi Academy will be performed by students ages 6 to 18. Cultural programs are available to OCA members free of charge and are taught by volunteers. OCA dancers perform at over 20 events per year. A recent partial list includes the Japanese Tsunami Fundraiser Concert, Hot Pink Pittsburgh, My Macy’s Holiday Parade, First Night, Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta, and the Pittsburgh Folk Festival. OCA Pittsburgh is a non-profit organization committed to bettering the understanding of Chinese culture. Tickets for the OCA Showcase are $8 general admission, $5 OCA Pittsburgh members, and FREE for children 12 and under accompanied by an adult. All proceeds will benefit future OCA cultural programming.
